The Symphony orchestra of EEB1

Traditional Christmas concert in the royal conservatory in Brussels

The Symphony Orchestra of the European School of Brussels I (EEB1) was founded in 1976. It brings together an eclectic and dynamic group of young musicians aged 10 to 19 from all over the European Union. The orchestra’s main objectives are to give students the opportunity to make music of a high standard in a genuine orchestra setting, and to encourage an appreciation of classical music. The aim is also to have fun and to teach kids the benefits of working and playing as a group, with an emphasis on inclusion and mutual respect. The orchestra presents several concerts each year, including the Christmas concert, the Spring concert and the End of the Year concert.
